Historians have to follow a couple of steps so that they can be 100% sure that their theory is correct. There are 5 steps. First they have to gather/find a variety of sources. The sources may be primary or secondary sources. Then once they got their sources they must categorize them into 1 of the 2 sources, written and non-written. The next step they have to evaluate their sources. They must answer these questions. Who, what, when, where and why. Step number 6 is to interpret their information. And last they must share their findings with each other to figure out their theory. Historians will dig at lots of places, maybe that they will dig at a place that you did not know it existed. Archeology is an adventure that anyone would want to experience.
